African pygmy hedgehog

African pygmy hedgehogs are wonderful pets that are in Slovenia more and more popular. 

These small mammals wake up, when most of us are preparing to go to sleep. They are researching, snooping, runing and playing all night. Unlike our forest hedgehogs, which are not allowed pets, they are allowed, they are smaller and different colors. The most common is the color grey, followed by cinnamon color, albino, pinto etc. They are suitable only for indoor, since they need temperatures above 22 degrees. These hedgehogs do not survive hibernation!
